CANADIAN MUSIC COOPERATIVE Record Label Launch Party NOV 13

The CANADIAN MUSIC COOPERATIVE is a new artist owned record label launching on November 13 and we are celebrating with a night of performances featuring artists from the Cooperative as well as some special guest performances. Come learn about the label, mingle with the artists, and enjoy some awesome Rock and Roll.
-COMMUNISM is the flagship band of the label, with the re-issue of their album "Get Down Get Together" being the first official release of the CMC. Led by veteran producer and performer Don Kerr on drums and vocals, the band is also driven by the dynamic creations of Kevin Lacroix on bass and vocals, and legendary Toronto guitarist and composer Kurt Swinghammer. The ideas expressed by their songs are the inspiration for the genesis of the Cooperative. An authentic musical experience, the energy they bring to every performance leaves the audience inspired and moved.
-THE LOST CHORD is a collaborative project led by composer / producer Louis Marc Vautour. Since it's initial inception in 1993 it has taken many forms from a trio to a nine piece backed by a chamber orchestra, and has had a rotaing cast of collaborators including Nick Zubeck, Brian MacMillan, Jason Perreira, Cosima Grunsky, Alex Berry, David Celia, Trent Roset, Michael Craig just to name a few. The band reached #1 on CIUT in the summer of 2009 and is currently producing an ambitious triptych featuring the percussion wizard Alex Bovletis and lush arrangements by Kirill Fondler.
-BRENDAN FURLOTTE is a Moncton based artist and performer. A founding member of Gathering Tain, he went on to have a succesful solo career with his 1999 release of "Going Home". He is an extremely elegent and soulful performer and composer, and has written songs for many local artists and co-writen with Grammy winning Nashville producer Gordie Sampson. He is currently working on pre-production with his amazing band, and continues to compose for other artists.
